Tomato and Pepper Relish

Canning Etc. Preserves Tomato Vegetables

Ingredients:

  • 12 md Onions
  • 10 md Green tomatoes
  • 6 c Green or green & red peppers
  • 4 c Vinegar
  • 6 c Sugar
  • 2 c Water
  • 1 1/2 ts Turmeric
  • 1/2 tb Celery seed
  • 1/2 tb Mustard seed
  • 1/2 c Salt

Directions:

Chop onions, tomatoes and peppers. Add salt. Let stand overnight. Drain. Put other ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil. Add drained vegetables to liquid and bring to a boil.
