Oatmeal Muffins

Ingredients:

  • 2 c Oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 c Sour milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1/2 c Sugar
  • 2 tb Shortening
  • 1 c Flour
  • 1 ts Baking soda

Directions:

Soak oatmeal in sour milk overnight. In morning add the other ingredients. Chopped dates or raisins may be added. Bake 25 minutes. Makes 14 muffins.
 
Note: Assume hot oven 400 - 450 F.
