Oatmeal Drop Biscuits #2

Ingredients:

  • 1 c All-purpose flour
  • 1 tb Baking powder
  • 1/4 c Shortening
  • 1 c Quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 1/3 c Milk
  • 2 tb Honey
  • 1/2 ts Salt

Directions:

Stir thoroughly the flour, baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cut in shortening till mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in oats. Combine egg, milk, and honey; add all at once to dry mixture. Stir just till moistened. Drop b spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Recipe by: Better Homes and Gardens Homemade Bread Cookbook
