German Chocolate Cream Cheese Brownies

  • 4 oz Baker's German Sweet Chocolate
  • 1/2 Stick margarine
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 ts Vanilla
  • 1/2 c Plus 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c Chopped nuts
  • 4 oz Cream cheese; softened


Microwave the chocolate and margarine on HIGH for 2 minutes. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
Stir in 3/4 cup sugar until well blended. Add 2 eggs and vanilla; mix well. Stir in 1/2 cup flour and nuts until well mixed. Spread mixture into greased 8-in. square pan.
Mix cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg and 1 Tbsp. flour in bowl until smooth. Spoon over brownie mixture; swirl with knife to marblize.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Cool; cut into 16 squares.
