German Chocolate Carmamel Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 14 oz Pk caramels
  • 2/3 c Evaporated milk, divided
  • 18 1/4 oz German chocolate cake mix
  • 2/3 c Butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 c (6 oz) chocolate chips

Directions:

Melt caramels in a double boiler oe microwave. Stir in 1/3 cup milk and set aside. In a mixing bowl,combine cake mix butter and remaining milk: set half aside and press other half intp a greased 13in x 9in x 2 in baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Pour caramel mixture over, spoon reserved cake mixtureon top. Return to oven for 20 min. Yield 3-4 dozen.
