Favorite Corn Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 c All-purpose flour
  • 1 c Cornmeal
  • 1/4 c Sugar
  • 4 ts Baking powder
  • 3/4 ts Salt
  • 1 c Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 c Shortening

Directions:

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the milk, eggs and shortening; beat for 1 minute. Pour into a greased 9" square baking pan. Bake at 425 F. for 20-25 minutes or until bread is golden brown and tests done. MC formatting by bobbi744@sojourn.com
