Family Favorite Meatloaf - Crockpot Recipe

  • 2 Beaten eggs
  • 3/4 c Milk
  • 2/3 c Fine; dry bread crumbs
  • 2 tb *grated* onion; use juice
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 1/2 ts Ground sage
  • 2 lb Ground beef
  • 1/4 c Ketchup
  • 2 tb Brown sugar
  • 1 ts Dry mustard
  • 1/4 ts Ground nutmeg


Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, "sifting" through with very clean fingers. Don't overwork it - or the meat gets tough. Sort of form it, then carefully place into the crockpot. Cover and cok on low for 5 to 6 hours. Combine the sauce ingredients and then pour over the meat. Cover and cook on high for 15 minutes longer. Remove, slice, and serve. I always make extra topping, heat it up a little in the microwave, and serve on the side. I tell could just drink that topping!
