Ingredients:

FOR THE CREAM
  • 200 g Icing sugar
  • 100 g Butter
  • 1 ts Vanilla essence; (5 ml)
FOR THE DECORATION
  • 2 tb Desiccated coconut; (30 g)
  • 1 tb Candied peel; (15 g)

Directions:

PREPARE the dough as for the bread rolls. Divide the dough into 16 portions and make round balls. Then roll them out into thick chapatis. Fold each chapati into half and put it in a greased tray. Cover with a wet cloth for 30 minutes. Bake at 400o F. for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from the oven. When cool, slit them and apply cream and close them. Sprinkle desiccated coconut and candied peel on top. Serve at tea time. To prepare the cream: Cream the butter, gradually add the icing sugar and vanilla. Cream till well mixed.
