Chinese Sweet and Sour Shrimp

Ingredients:
- 1 lb Unpeeled large fresh shrimp
- 1/2 c All-purpose flour
- 1/3 c Water
- 1 tb Sweet and Sour Sauce
- 1/4 c Cornstarch
- 1 ts Vegetable oil
- 1/2 ts Salt
- 1/2 ts Baking powder
- 1 Large egg, lightly beaten
- ot cooked Rice (to server on)
Directions:
Peel shrimp; devein, if desired. Combine flour and next 6 ingredients. Pour oil to depth of 3 inches into a Dutch oven; heat to 375 degrees. Dip shrimp into batter; fry, a few at a time, in hot oil until golden. Drain on paper towels. arrange shrimp on a baking sheet; place in a 200 degree oven to keep warm while frying remaining shrimp. Combine shrimp and Sweet and Sour Sauce; serve immediately over rice.
