Ingredients:

  • 4 lb Whole squid
  • Boiling salted water
  • 1 tb Butter
  • 1/2 c Dairy sour cream
  • 1/2 c Water
  • 1 tb Fresh lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 ds Sugar

Directions:

Clean squid. Cook in boiling salted water until tender; drain. Cut into squares; set aside. Melt butter in skillet; stir in flour. Combine sour cream & water; gradually add to flour mixture, stirring until smooth & thickened. Add squid, lemon juice, salt, pepper & sugar; heat to serve piping hot.
