Cake Decorator's Icing

Frosting Meringue po


  • 1/2 c Crisco; (1/2 to 3/4)
  • 1/4 c Water
  • 1 tb Meringue powder
  • 1 lb Box powdered sugar
  • 1/4 c Sifted flour
  • 1/2 ts Vanilla flavoring


Mix dry ingredients. Add Crisco and liquids. Mix with electric mixer until smooth and fluffy. Add food coloring if desired. Enough icing for a cake. Double recipe if more is needed for elaborate decorating. Posted to recipelu-digest by "Diane Geary" <> on Feb 22, 1998
