Cajun/creol Rubs and sp


  • 2 Part ground sweet paprika
  • 1 Part garlic powder
  • 1 Part onion powder
  • 1 Part ground white pepper
  • 1 Part freshly ground pepper
  • 1 Part cayenne pepper
  • 1 Part leaf thyme; (crushed in palms of hand)
  • 1 Part basil; crushed
  • 1 1/2 Parts salt


Blend thoroughly. Store in a clean jar or shaker as for any spice. Good on charcoal or mesquite fish, pork, beef or chicken. Delicious sprinkled on cheese toast or stir-fried vegetables. Using teaspoon measuring parts, double recipe fills 4 ounce jar or shaker.
