Cabbage Stew

  • 1 Head cabbaage, coarsely chopped
  • 3 Or 4 large carrots, sliced
  • 2 Or 3 potatoes, cubed one onion, chopped
  • 2 Or 5 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 c White wine and 1/2 cup water, or all water or all veggie broth
  • 1/2 ts Each thyme, sage, white pepper or lemon pepper salt to taste


Put all in large dutch oven, cover and bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer for about 30 minutes, till all is tender. Optional, add mushrooms, zuchinni or whatever you like.
