Cabbage Casserole #2 #2

  • 1 Stick butter
  • 1/2 lb American cheese
  • 1 lg Onion; chopped fine
  • 1/2 Bell pepper; chopped fine
  • 2 lg Pieces celery; chopped fine
  • 2 md Heads cabbage
  • 1/2 pt Coffee cream
  • Bread crumbs


Coarsely cut cabbage and boil until tender. Saut‚ onion, pepper and celery in butter. Put in drained cabbage and cook 15 minutes. Add 1/2 lb. cheese and 1/2 pint coffee cream, add red pepper and salt to taste. Put in well-greased casserole and cover with bread crumbs and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
