  • 4 Rome apples
  • 1/4 c Plus 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 ts Cinnamon
  • 1/4 ts Cloves
  • 4 Lemons; zest of
  • 1/2 Stick unsalted butter


Preheat oven to 375.
Butter baking dish for baking apples. Core apples. Set in baking dish. Mix together brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves & zest. Fill each apple core with mixture. Drizzle butter on tops. Bake until tender, about 20 minutes.
Approximately 12-22 minutes.
