Alaska Salmon Nuggets

Fish/seafoo Main dish


  • 1 cn Salmon (1 pound)
  • 1/2 c Mashed potatoes
  • 1 tb Grated onion
  • 1 tb Butter or other fat, melted
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 1/4 ts Celery salt
  • 1 ds Pepper
  • 1 ts Worchestershire sauce
  • 1 Egg, well beaten
  • 1/4 lb Sharp cheese
  • 1 c Dry bread crumbs


Drain and flake salmon. Combine all ingredients except cheese and crumbs and mix thoroughly. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Cut cheese into 3/8 inch cubes. Insert a cheese cube into the center of each fish ball and reshape. Roll in bread crumbs. Fry in deep fat, 375=F8F., 3 to 4 minutes, or until golden brown. Garnish and serve hot, plain or with a sauce.
